Mickey Rooney's Widow Contests Will

By Paul Johnson

(CNN) - Mickey Rooney’s widow is fighting over the late actor's will.
A lawyer for Jan Rooney says she's filing objections because the will left Rooney’s estate to a stepson and nothing to his wife or his 10 other children and step-children.
A hearing to start the process of probating the will is set for Monday.
The will was signed just weeks before Rooney’s death.
He died April seventh.
A court filing says Jan Rooney signed an agreement waiving all claims to her husband's estate after the couple separated in June 2012 after 34 years of marriage.
Court papers suggest Rooney’s personal property is valued at just $18,000.
Jan Rooney’s lawyer says the actor's disinherited children are also contesting the will.
