Bicyclist Serious Condition Following Hit And Run

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Boise Police are looking for a vehicle that they say was involved in a hit and run this Tuesday morning that left a cyclist seriously injured. Police say the cyclist was traveling eastbound on West Hays street at 7:30 am when a car passed him also eastbound. The car suddenly turned right onto southbound 10th street directly in front of the cyclist. The bicycle was on the far right of the road, striking the passenger side of the car head first. The driver continued southbound on 10th not stopping.
The cyclist, an adult male, was wearing a helmet. He remained conscious, picked himself and at first did not feel he was badly injured. He continued to work. A short time later, he told officers he began to feel ill. He sought medical attention and found he had two broken bones in his neck caused by the collision.
About 2 hours later he called the police to report the accident. The car is described as a green older model Saturn. At this time there is no description of the driver. Call the police if you can provide any information about the accident.
