Fire Crews In Central Ca Battle An 1,800 Acre Wildfire As Evacuation Advisories Go Out
Kern County, California (CNN) - Crews are battling an 18-hundred acre wildfire in central California.
The so-called Shirley fire is only 10-percent contained.
The U.S. Forest Service says westerly winds and dry, drought-like conditions are fueling the flames.
Some five hundred residents in Kern County received evacuation advisories late Saturday.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
