Seattle/Tacoma, Washington (CNN) - US soccer star hope solo took to Face book Thursday to apologize to fans for her involvement in an alleged domestic violence incident.
Earlier this week, solo pleaded not guilty to domestic violence assault charges in Washington State.
Police say solo's sister and 17-year-old nephew had visible injuries after an altercation with her last weekend.
Officers said solo appeared "intoxicated and upset."
In today's face book post, the Olympic gold medal winner said she's confident her name will be cleared.
She was released on personal recognizance.
A pre-trial is set for august 11.
