Golden Gate Bridge To Get Suicide Barrier Net

San Francisco, California (CNN) - An estimated 16-hundred people have committed suicide by jumping off the golden gate bridge since it opened 77 years ago.
A plan to stop people from jumping is under consideration.
Friday, the bridge's board of directors will vote on a 76-million dollar funding plan for a suicide barrier net.
Approval is expected.
