Warm Srpings Indian Reservation, Oregon (CNN) - The Shaniko butte fire in Oregon's Warm Springs Indian reservation continued to grow Thursday.
It's now covering 25,000 acres and it's putting up a plume visible for many miles.
Officials say ten percent of the perimeter was contained.
They said late Thursday there was "considerable risk" the fire would spread east, beyond the now-closed lower Deschutes river.
That's where rail traffic has been halted.
