San Bruno, California (CNN) - A federal grand jury has charged a California power company with obstructing an NTSB investigation of a deadly pipeline explosion.
The 2010 blast in San Bruno killed eight people and destroyed several homes.
In 2012, federal investigators found that a faulty pipe, flawed operations and too little government oversight led to the disaster.
Today, the grand jury ruled that PG and E lied about their policy and did not assess their pipelines properly.
The company has pledge to give the city of San Bruno 70 million dollars in restitution.
