Child In Stroller Involved In Hit-And-Run

Seattle, Washington (CNN) - Seattle police are investigating a hit-and-run after a woman and a 1-year-old were hurt Thursday night.
According to police, officers were conducting an operation in the 400 block of Battery Street when a suspected drug dealer escaped an arrest.
The suspect fled on foot, got in a vehicle and drove away.
Police said the suspect drove the vehicle erratically, ran a red light and stop sign, and clipped a parked car near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Denny Way at about 9 p.m.
Officials with the Seattle Fire Department told KIRO 7 the woman was pushing a 1-year-old in a stroller when they were struck by vehicle.
Police said the suspect got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
The 1-year-old and mother were taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for their non-life-threatening injuries. Medics said the 1-year-old is in stable condition.
Traffic collision investigators responded to the scene.
