$30K To Kill Wolves In Northern Idaho

Boise, Idaho ( AP ) To kill 23 wolves last month in northern Idaho, it cost $30,000.

The Idaho Fish and Game announced the money came from the licenses the agency sells.

USDA Wildlife Service agents killed the wolves using a helicopter in the Lolo Elk Zone to improve elk survival in the area.

This marks the sixth time in the last four years the agency has taken action in that area.

All in all 48 wolves have been killed.
