POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) _ A judge has cleared an eastern Idaho
school district from a civil lawsuit filed by the family of a high
school student slain in 2006 by two of her classmates.

The ruling by 6th District Judge David C. Nye dismisses School
District 25, which serves Pocatello and Chubbuck, from the lawsuit
filed by the parents of Cassie Jo Stoddart.

A jury convicted Torey Adamcik and Brian Draper last year of
stabbing Stoddart to death while she was house sitting for
relatives in Chubbuck. All three were classmates at Pocatello High
School.

Adamcik and Draper are each serving life sentences without
parole.

Stoddart's relatives filed a wrongful death lawsuit last year
naming the district, Draper, Adamcik and their families.

School attorneys argued that the district could not be held
liable in the case.
