YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) _ Yellowstone National Park officials are searching for a Utah man they believe committed
suicide by jumping into a river and going over a 300-foot
waterfall.

The 20-year-old Utah man was last seen about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday
jumping over the railing at an observation platform at the Grand
Canyon of the Yellowstone, park officials say.

Witnesses say the water carried him over the Lower Falls.

People on the ground and in a park helicopter began looking for
the man immediately.

The search continued Wednesday. Yellowstone officials say they
presume the man died and are withholding his identity pending
family notification.
