PROVO, Utah (AP) _ Days after a bus crash that killed one of
their teachers, students in the American Fork High School marching
band swept the awards in a competition at Brigham Young University.

The school band issued a statement in remembrance of Heather
Christensen. The 33-year old woodwinds instructor grabbed for the
wheel when she noticed the bus driver had passed out on the trip
home from a competition in Idaho on Saturday.

Christensen died when the bus crashed, but all of the students
survived.

The band went ahead and played as scheduled in the competition
Tuesday at BYU and won.

The students received a long standing ovation as they marched off the field and embraced in tearful hugs.
