SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ A Utah lawmaker is resigning his seat to
take a job with Utah State University.

Rep. Brad Winn, a Republican from Ephraim, currently works for
Snow College. For his new position at USU, he'll have to move out
of his district and give up his seat.

Winn represents District 68, which includes Millard, Juab and
Sanpete counties.

He has notified the state Republican Party, which will organize
a mini-convention of the district's state delegates.

They'll pick a name to send to Gov. Gary Herbert, who will
appoint the person to serve out the rest of Winn's term. The term
ends on the last day of 2010.
