JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) _ Officials say hotel bookings in the ski
resort town of Jackson are inching higher, thanks to a week of
heavy snow and an upcoming sled dog race.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce's latest lodging survey
found that 52 percent of rooms in the region have been booked in
advance, a slight increase from last week's 48 percent occupancy
rate. Still, the average is 16 percent lower than during the same
period last year.
The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race is set to
begin in Jackson on Friday.
