Maricopa County, Arizona (CNN) This September, a new jury will be selected to decide Jodi Arias' fate.

That announcement came in a tweet from the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.

You may recall that Arias was found guilty of first-degree murder last year for brutally stabbing and shooting her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

This new round of jurors will focus on whether Arias should face the death penalty or life in prison.

This comes after the jury that found her guilty was unable to reach a unanimous decision on her punishment.

A mini-trial will be held to get the new jury caught up on the case before the penalty phase retrial.
