ATV Riders Protest Federal Trail Use In Utah

By KMVT Staff

Moab, Utah ( KSTU ) ATV riders protesting the use of a trail on federal land in Moab, Utah.

This comes after the ranchers' protest in Nevada last month led by Clive Bundy.

Around 200 people gathered for the protest before heading to the trail in Recapture Canyon.

The San Juan County Commissioner Phil Lyman planned the ATV protest against the Bureau of Land Management.

Lymann though says he didn't want the event to turn into a media campaign and told the crowd he didn't want to enter the closed trail after all.

Protesters continued, but there could still be penalties.
