Bill Would Give More Power To School Districts
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Idaho House Education committee passed a piece of legislation last week.
The bill would give school districts more power to put teachers on unpaid administrative leave if they are facing jail time.
Teachers under internal investigation could be placed on paid leave by their district.
The bill was sponsored by the Idaho school board association.
The teachers union is against the bill because they say it would punish teachers before they're found guilty.
The bill now heads to the house for debate.
