By KMVT News

Yosemite National Park, California (CNN) - The California Air National Guard is helping firefighters battle the so-called Rim Fire near Yosemite National Park.

Here you see them dropping buckets of water from a helicopter above hot spots. The L.A. Times reports guard members also launched an unmanned predator drone to give fire commanders a birds-eye view of the fire.

The Rim Fire has charred more than 192,000 acres. As of this afternoon, it is only about 30-percent contained. So far, it has cost the state more than 39 million dollars to fight.
