Changes Coming To Boise Airport's Parking
Boise, Idaho (KBOI-TV) People who use the cell phone waiting area at the Boise airport will soon see some changes, and it could be hitting their wallets.
Starting January 3, the cell phone waiting area at the Boise airport will be closed while construction crews try to expand the parking.
There will be alternate places to park, but if drivers wait too long they could be charged.
People waiting can now use the economy lot located on Victory Road near I–84. Parking is free for the first 20 minutes but is 75 cents for each half hour after that.
Frank Eld from Roseberry says, "20 minutes I think is generous I'm glad they're doing that, but it's maybe a half an hour would be a little better."
David Lowe, a Caldwell resident adds, "it's a little more cumbersome... it will be ok."
Belinda Hoffman, also from Caldwell adds, "I think it's pretty reasonable, it's not a whole lot, if you don't want to pay, start rotating."
With delayed flights and baggage many people in line say they've waited more than 20 minutes. But as you heard, most aren't worried about paying the small fee.
