DEA Cracks Down On 90 People In 30 States Involving Fake Pot
Vancouver, Oregon (CNN) More than 90 people across 30 states are under arrest as federal agents crack down on the designer synthetic drug industry. The Drug Enforcement Administration announced Thursday that agents recovered almost five-million packets of fake pot and nearly 167-thousand packages of so-called "bath salts"... along with 36-million-dollars. Here is a look at one of the D-E-A raids in Oregon. You can see federal agents taking away boxes of evidence.
Some of this video is blurry on purpose, to protect the identities of the federal agents.
A man from the Portland area was arrested at his home in connection with the operation.
Earlier this month, President Obama signed a law banning the sale of 31 compounds used in synthetic drugs. But the synthetic drug makers try to skirt the legislation and previous laws by changing the chemical composition.
