Dogs Recovered From Homicide Site Now in Boise
Boise, Idaho ( KBOI2 News ) 63 dogs removed from the site of a triple murder in Southeast Idaho have arrived in Boise.
The pit bulls were believed to be part of a dog–fighting operation.
They're now at the Idaho Humane Society.. Where workers are now caring for them.
Staff members with the idaho humane society took photographs of the dogs...who arrived monday night in pretty bad shape.
"Many of them severely underweight, a lot of skin, ear, eye type of infections, most likely due to neglect, wounds, sores scars, lacerations," explains Hannah Parpart, Idaho Humane Society.
Investigators believe the pit bulls were used in dogfighting at a Southeastern Idaho ranch where three people were found murdered late last week.
At the Humane Society in Boise, the dogs are being kept in isolation while their immediate medical needs are taken care of...
Parpart says, "some of these dogs are starving for food literally."
The Humane Society knows not all of the dogs can be saved.
Wth the arrival of so many dogs all at once the humane society has to make room for them. So what they've decided to do is to offer the adoptable dogs at half price.
It's unclear when the newly arrived pit bulls will be ready for adoption, but the humane society says the majority of the dogs are friendly and welcome handling by people.
