Family Rescued From North Santiam River
Idanha, Oregon (CNN) Emergency crews pulled a family of four from an Oregon River Saturday.
You're looking at video of the rescue. Deputies in Marion county say the family went kayaking on the North Santiam River. They were soon overcome by the currents... and ended up in the water. The mother and her 11–year–old son were able to swim to shore. While the father and his 12–year–old son were swept downstream. They were able to hold on to some rocks while rescuers reached them by helicopter. Everyone was wearing life vests and didn't need medical assistance. Comments ( |
