Firefighter Who Ran Over Asiana Airlines Crash Survivor Won’t Be Charged
San Francisco, California (CNN) A firefighter who accidentally ran over a 16-year-old survivor of the Asiana plane crash in San Francisco will *not* be charged in the case.
That's the ruling from San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.
A coroner ruled that the girl was alive when she was flung from the plane that crash-landed short of the runway on July 6th.
But the teen was killed moments later, when she was run over by a firefighter rushing to the crash site.
Back in July, San Francisco's Fire Chief called the girl's death a "tragic accident" - and apologized to her family.
Two other people were killed in the Asiana crash - which injured more than 180 people on board.
