Former Dodgers Owner Testifies In Attack Trial
Los Angeles, California (CNN) Former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt testified in court Friday.
McCourt and the Los Angeles Dodgers are being sued for negligence by Brian Stow, who was attacked in a Dodger Stadium parking lot during its home opener in 2011.
McCourt told the jury he wasn't heavily involved in implementing security when he owned the team.
His lawyers say Stow and the attackers are to blame.
Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood pleaded guilty in January for attacking Stow.
"Like all Dodger fans, I was appalled at the criminal behavior of Sanchez and Norwood. And make no mistake they're the parties responsible for this incident. My thoughts and my prayers continue to go out to Mr. Stow and his family," McCourt said.
Stow also filed a cross-complaint lawsuit against Norwood and Sanchez that is being tried along with this case.
McCourt owned the Dodgers from 2004 to 2012.
