French President In San Francisco

San Francisco, California (CNN) French president Francois Hollande was on the west coast Wednesday to mingle with political leaders and tech gurus in San Francisco.

After Tuesday night's state dinner at the White House, Hollande attended a ceremony at City Hall with San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom.

From there, Hollande met with some of the biggest and brightest in the tech world... Including Google's Eric Schmidt, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.

According to some reports, Hollande is anxious to sell France as a good place for California entrepreneurs to launch the next generation of start-ups.
