Giant Sinkhole Threatens Home In Oregon

By KMVT News

Portland, Oregon (CNN) Another giant sinkhole is threatening a home in Oregon.

A Portland man discovered a 20-foot deep hole in his backyard, following heavy rain.

Firefighters visited the home Wednesday and roped it off with caution tape.

The homeowner is hoping to get it fixed before the hole gets bigger.

"We still trying to do research and find a company that repairs it. And I don't know what to do," the homeowner, Justin Nguyen, said.

This is the second sinkhole discovered in Oregon in as many days.

Tuesday, firefighters rescued a woman and her dog who had fallen into a giant hole at another home.

Authorities say that sinkhole formed after a sewer cesspool collapsed underground.
