Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Speed limits across the Gem State are one step closer to increasing.
Senate lawmakers approved the bid thirty to four Tuesday.
It now heads to the House where, if passed, legal speed limits would jump from seventy-five to eighty miles per hour on the interstate and from sixty-five to seventy on state highways.
The Idaho Transportation Department would need to sign off on it first.
The Department would first conduct safety studies to decide if faster commutes would cause more wrecks.
