Idaho State Police Release Annual Crime Report
Boise, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification released their annual "Crime in Idaho" report for 2011 today.

As the Statewide Crime Profile, Crimes against Persons, Property, Society, the Arrest Profile, Hate Crime in Idaho, Law Enforcement
Officers Killed or Assaulted, crimes categorized by jurisdiction and many other statistics.
Here are some of the highlights from the "Facts at a Glance" page and the changes from 2010:
Group "A" Offenses Increase 2.3% from 2010
Crime Rate 5202.7 per 100,000 inhabitants (based on Group "A" offenses) increase 0.4% from 2010
Violent Crime 3,081 violent crime offenses reported. Down 5.1% from 2010
Crimes Against Persons 17,746 reported crimes against persons. Down 2.7% from 2010
Officers Assaulted In 2011, no Idaho law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty. 242 total assaults on Idaho law enforcement officers. Up 6.6% from 2010
Hate Crime 39 reported hate crime incidents in Idaho for 2011. Up 25.8% from 2010
Crimes Against Society 15,856 reported crimes against society. Up 7.9% from 2010
Property Crime 48,758 reported crimes against property. Up 2.5% from 2010
