Arlington, Washington (CNN) The official death toll in last month's massive landslide in rural Washington climbed Wednesday to 29.

Incident commander Larry Nickey is determined to find those still unaccounted for.

“I am charged with looking for those remaining 15 victims, and my priority is finding those 15 victims,” he says.

Hundreds of people and cadaver dogs are trudging through the muck, which is 70 feet thick in some places.

Nickey says they are focusing on areas where they feel there is a high probability of finding bodies.
