Phoenix, Arizona (CNN) Three creatures with big teeth and fast legs sent an Arizona school into lockdown on Tuesday.
The javelinas were zipping around Saint Theresa Catholic School's campus in the morning.
Animal experts say they don't typically hurt humans, but with their sharp teeth, school officials didn't take any chances.
Principal Maureen Fyan said the children were kept inside, until animal control showed up.
"I thought, 'If he comes this way, my legs are going out from under me.' He was fast. I said to some other gentleman that white people can't jump, but I jumped! Really high!" she said.
The javelinas were tranquilized and taken to a conservation center.
