Lawmakers who support a nuclear waste repository underneath Yucca Mountain in Nevada are having problems coming up with additional money for the project.
The Obama Administration and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid want to scrap the Yucca Mountain site, which there's no funding for in the President's budget for next year.
But, Democratic Senator Patty Murray of Washington State said the administration "hasn't" provided valid scientific reasons for doing away with the Yucca Mountain repository.
Murray proposed spending $200 million on developing the application to build the storage site.
