Local Towns Among Locations Mentioned In BSA Sexual Abuse Allegations
Southern Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Boy Scouts of America controversy has local ties.
The Los Angeles Times released a database on roughly 5,000 men and a handful of women who were expelled from the BSA on suspicion of sexual abuse. The records date back to 1947 all the way to January 2005. Four of those cases listed on the database include the communities of Filer, Burley and Hailey. These cases originated in the early to mid 90's. The review revealed many occasions where problems were not promptly recognized and abuse suspects were not held accountable.
