Long Lines At Washington Pot Store Opening

By KMVT News

Vancouver, Washington (CNN) - People started lining up at 4 a.m. today, outside the first legal marijuana store to open in Vancouver, Washington.

Pot sales started in the state yesterday, but Vancouver's store opened its doors today.

The owners said they had to limit sales to the first 700 people, just to have enough pot for the rest of the week. And customers were excited, even if it was a bit pricey.

“60 dollars. I can't wait for it to go down, because I'm disabled so I'm on fixed income,” said Dan Penticoff, Customer. “So I can't wait for it to go back down. It's going to be just wonderful.”

“I think it's wonderful,” said Rose Anderson, Customer. “I think we've missed a tax base that we could've had for a long time. I know that there's a lot of people that smoke recreational marijuana, and I'm really happy to see that we're able to kind of service those folks.”

Washington is the second state to legally sell marijuana for recreational use, after Colorado.
