Man Dies While Held In WA Jail Cell
Snohomish County, Washington (KOMO) Authorities in Snohomish County, Washington are investigating how a 60–year–old man died while he was being held in jail.
The man had been arrested Friday on suspicion of shoplifting at a gas station. Police say the man became combative, so jail staff used a Taser on the man and then placed him in an isolation cell. "It was during a normal check that they provided that they did find that he was unresponsive. So they immediately pulled him out of that room and started giving him CPR," says Aaron Snell, Everett Police. It's not clear whether the Tasing was connected to the man's death. A medical examiner is expected to perform an autopsy sometime early this week. Comments ( |
