Bremerton, Washington (CNN) In Washington State Thursday, a man drove his car into an inlet near a park in the city of Bremerton.
According to the Kitsap Sun newspaper, two boaters helped authorities get the man out of his car, which stopped ten feet under water and about 30 feet from shore.
Police say the 88-year-old driver apparently suffered some kind of medical emergency.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment, but his exact condition is not known.
Authorities later pulled the car from the water.
