Entiat, Washington (CNN) - The Mills Canyon wildfire in Central Washington is threatening more than 200 homes.
The fire started in the mills canyon area Tuesday.
At last check, the fire had grown to more than 18,000 acres, with zero percent containment. Fire officials say it will be awhile before they are out of the woods.
“This fire's gonna continue to be an issue for -- could be two, three weeks,” said Mike Asher,
Chelan Co. Fire Chief.
As if firefighters needed more trouble, there's a new wildfire near Chelan.
The fire spread quickly, burning 530 acres.
Firefighters used water-scooping helicopters against it.
