Nampa Teen Killed In Crash
Nampa, Idaho (KBOI) A deadly crash Saturday morning in Nampa killed a teen and sent seven others to the hospital.
Idaho State Police say the accident happened on Orchard Avenue around 5:15. Caldwell resident Freddy Camacho Quezada was headed east in a 2003 BMW. Police say the 21 year old had been drinking and driving at a high rate of speed. He ran a stop sign, hit an irrigation box, went through fences and finally rolled the vehicle into a dry canal. There were eight passengers in his car. One of those, 15–year old Stephanie Rodriguez, also of Nampa, died at the scene. "You get a bunch of kids together, they're having a really good time, they're going to pile into a car and they're gets to be a lot of egging each other on and that's when you end up seeing something like this," adds Mike Phillips, a homeowner. The other passengers were sent to area hospitals all between 14 and 21 years old. Only one did not need to be transported. The crash is still under investigation. Comments ( |
