CARSON CITY, Nevada (KTVN) It's been only a few months since the deadly Nevada I–HOP shooting, but one of the victims, a National Guardman is re–enlisting.

SFC Jeremiah Mock was with other guard members when a gunman entered the restaurant and opened fire in September.

Four people died and seven others were hurt that day. The alleged shooter killed himself.

Even though Mock is still nursing his right arm back to good working condition, he chose to re–up for another six years.

"I think it's quite remarkable that after going through all that he has, reenlisted and his commitment to nevada, the Nevada National Guard as well as our country makes me proud to be a Nevadan and we're very fortunate and blessed to have a young man like him," states Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval.

Sergeant Mock's wife enlisted in the Nevada Air National Guard shortly after the shooting.
