One Person Injured Following Two Vehicle Pileup Near Idaho Falls

Idaho Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Idaho State Police say a two vehicle pileup has injured one person. The accident at about 10 am Monday happened on U.S. 20 about 20 miles west of Idaho Falls. Adam Robinson, 32, of Idaho Falls, was travelling west in a 1999 Honda Civic. Randall Nowland, 50, of Amercan Falls, was travelling west in front of Robinson, in a 2007 Freightliner semi-truck and trailer. Nowland slowed his vehicle in preparation to make a left turn and Robinson's vehicle struck the rear of Nowland's trailer.

Robinson was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Nowland was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.

The westbound lane of the Highway was blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
