BOISE, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) – Your Health Idaho was provided a report of marketplace metrics today for October 1 through November 2, 2013 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Despite the continuous problems with getting through the federal application system, the numbers show Idahoans have a high level of interest in shopping for health care coverage through the competitive marketplace.

From Idaho, there are 4,753 completed applications on the marketplace for coverage available through Your Health Idaho, representing 10,573 Idahoans. Of those 10,573 - 3,305 applicants have been deemed eligible for the Advanced Premium Tax Credit. 338 Idahoans have selected a health insurance plan from an Idaho carrier.

“As we all know, the federal application process is still experiencing some difficulty, but we are very pleased to see that so many Idahoans are getting online, using agents, brokers and In-Person Assisters as well as the call center to fill out applications -- and taking their time to choose the right plan,” said Amy Dowd, Your Health Idaho executive director. “One of the benefits of being a state-based marketplace is that we can respond quickly to these challenges and get the information that Idahoans need to get enrolled when they are ready.”

Since the beginning of Open Enrollment on October 1, 2013 Your Health Idaho has still seen a high level of interest from consumers wanting to find out about their health insurance options.
