Pilot Being Called Hero After Making Emergency Landing In The Sea
Molokai, Hawaii (CNN) A pilot in Hawaii is being hailed as a hero after he was forced to make an emergency landing in the sea.
Clyde Kawasaki had just taken off when he heard the engine give out.
He was able to land the plane in the water and keep all of his passengers together.
Despite everyone praising him as a hero, he says he doesn't feel like one.
"I'm no hero. I'm just doing my job in a bad situation, but I thank everyone for the accolade. I just did what I'm supposed to do," he explains.
Hawaiian Health Director Loretta Fuddy was the only passenger who died in the crash.
Kawasaki suffered a concussion and was hospitalized for two days.
