By KMVT News

Troutdale, Oregon (CNN) Police have identified the gunman who opened fire at an Oregon high school Tuesday, killing a student and wounding a teacher.

"The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office completed the autopsy this morning on the shooter and has positively identified him as 15-year-old Jared Michael Padgett. He was a freshman at Reynolds High School,” says Chief Scott Anderson, Troutdale, Oregon Police Dept.

Police say Padgett shot and killed a 14-year-old student in a locker room.

Authorities have not found a link between Padgett and the victim.

A teacher was grazed by a bullet and is expected to be okay.

Police say Padgett exchanged gunfire with an officer before taking his own life.

Authorities say he used an AR-15 rifle owned by his family in the shooting.

He was also found carrying nine loaded magazines, a semi automatic handgun, a knife -- and was wearing a non-ballistic vest.

Police have not revealed a possible motive for the shooting.
