Project Prom Provides Free Formal Dresses To Students In Need In Cheyenne, Wy

By Paul Johnson

Cheyenne, Wyoming (CNN) - Starting this Saturday, "project prom" will once again be making prom dreams come true for girls in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
On Tuesday morning, volunteers from Cheyenne light, fuel and power were busy moving dresses into Nellie Bernice Hill.
Now in its eighth year, project prom offers free formal dresses to students who might not otherwise be able to afford a gown.
"Let's face it, the prices are very expensive, very hard to find dresses, very expensive, so we give the people who donate the dresses an opportunity to see that dress put to good use and to be worn again for someone's special day."
Donations of gently used, clean gowns are still being accepted.
