Seattle Sets World Record

Seattle, Washington (KCPQ) While the Seattle Seahawks didn't set any playoffs records Sunday, back at home, area citizens decided to get some fame.

The world's largest snowball fight was held in Seattle on Saturday.

Over 6,000 people participated, marking a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for largest snowball fight.

Seattle dethroned the Republic of Korea, which set the record of 5,387 snow–throwers in 2010.

Organizers trucked in 162,000 pounds of snow from the mountains for the event.
