Seven Children Injured In Boise Bus Crash

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Seven children were taken to the hospital after a crash Friday afternoon.

Boise Police says 26 kids were on the bus at the time of the crash - all complained of pain, bumps and bruises. None of the children's injuries appeared to be serious, however.

A Boise Police crash reconstruction officer was called to the scene and says the driver of the Camry and the school bus were both headed west on Front Street toward the Connector when the driver of the Camry suddenly turned left in an effort to turn south onto 13th Street.

Instead, she ran into the rear half of the school bus, BPD says.

The bus was full of 7th graders from Sage Valley Middle School in Nampa who were reportedly leaving Boise after a visit to the Discovery Center.

The driver of the Camry, a 72-year-old resident of Emmett, was cited, BPD says for improper left turn.
