CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) _ A northern Utah man has been arrested
after police say he led authorities on a low-speed chase through
Davis County on a stolen tractor.
Clearfield police say the front-end loader was stolen from a
road construction site when its driver stopped to remove debris
from the roadway.
The Deseret News of Salt Lake City reports
(http://bit.ly/vn1yAJ) 38-year-old Caseton Burruss drove the
vehicle through security fences and crossed through wooded fields
trying to evade police.
Police estimate Burruss was traveling at speeds up to 15 miles
per hour.
He was caught after driving the front-end loader over an
embankment and into a fence.
Burruss was being held without bail in the Davis County Jail on
Tuesday.
No charges have been filed.
Police say the motive for the theft remains unclear.
