Suspect In Tech Exec Death Appears In Court
Santa Cruz, California (CNN) - California prosecutors have charged a woman with felony manslaughter in connection with the death of a tech executive last fall.
Alix Tichelman was arrested July 4th and tied to the investigation of the death of Forrest Hayes.
Hayes died from a heroin overdose.
Police say surveillance footage shows Tichelman injecting Hayes with the drug, then sitting and drinking wine while he suffered medical complications.
Investigators say the two met through a website and had an ongoing prostitution relationship.
Tichelman now faces charges of prostitution and drug possession.
Her bail is set at $1.5 million.
An arraignment on those charges has been set for July 16th.
