Police Ask For Public Help Following Purse Theft
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Boise Police are asking the public's help in located a person of interest regarding the theft of a purse from the Boise Airport late last night. Along with personal information, the purse also contained prescription medication needed by the victim.
What Happened: Boise Police officers working in the Airport Unit were notified by the victim last night, Sunday, February 24th at approx 11:55 p.m. that her purse had apparently been stolen from the upstairs arrival waiting area.
The victim tells officers she accidentally left her purse unattended for 3 - 5 minutes. During that time, officers were able to find evidence of a male person of interest. The man was also waiting in the arrival area and was seen to walk over and sit by the purse once the owner left. The male briefly met with a female who arrived at the Boise Airport at 11:50 p.m. Once the female arrived, both were seen walking back toward the purse. The purse was gone when the couple left.
The purse contained various items belonging to the victim including some needed prescription medication.
Vehicle of Interest: The male is believed to have left the airport in a:
• white 4-door Chevy or GMC pickup.
• The vehicle has a wrap around tool box in the bed of the truck
• a large brush guard on the front of the truck
• and large black louvers on the rear window.
• The roof of the pickup has some faded paint.
