UPDATED INFORMATION: Traffic Blocked On Highway 20 Lorenzo Bridge Due To Accident
MADISON & JEFFERSON COUNTIES, Idaho – (KIFI-TV) Here is an update on the accident from KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls. The crash that was blocking northbound traffic on U.S. 20 on Lorenzo Bridge opened at 3:30 p.m. Monday
The accident occurred 12 hours before, and during the time crews cleaned up the wreckage, northbound traffic was diverted to the Menan-Lorenzo Highway.
Two semi-trucks and a tow truck were involved, dispatch said. Law enforcement said the accident was a chain reaction, which began one one truck jacknifed due to icy roads.
U.S. 20 was very slick around the Madison and Jefferson County border, the location of the Lorenzo Bridge. ISP warned that the roads in Idaho Falls were slick, too.

Madison County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Northbound Traffic on Lorenzo Bridge, U.S. Highway 20 in Madison County in Eastern Idaho continues to be diverted today due to a traffic accident. The crash happened this morning around 3:30am. Idaho State Police dispatch says two semi trucks and a tow truck are involved.
They are advising U.S. 20 is very slick around the Madison and Jefferson County border, the location of the Lorenzo Bridge.
Northbound traffic is being diverted to Menan-Lorenzo Highway.
ISP is also advising the public roads in Idaho Falls are slick, too.
Dispatch says the sand trucks have been sent out to help with the roads.
The Idaho State Police say they do not know when the road will be re-opened.
