Twin Falls Prosecutor Asked To Investigate Double Homicide

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Boise Police along with police in Reading, Pennsylvania say they have arrested a man in connection with a May 8 double homicide that occurred in Boise. John C. Douglas, 44 of Reading has been charged with 2 counts of murder.
On May 8, Boise Police says 28-year-old Elliott Bailey and 27-year-old Travontae Calloway died of multiple gunshot wounds at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
“Boise Police appreciate the cooperation of the Reading Police Department in assisting with a case that has been a priority for Boise officers.” said Sgt. Mark Barnett of the Boise Police Criminal Investigation Division.
Reading officers arrested Douglas early this morning as he was walking near his Reading residence without incident. Douglas was arrested on a warrant issued out of Idaho on the above charges.
Boise Police detectives are in Reading continuing the investigation.
Boise Police will seek to extradite Douglas back to Idaho. Timing of Douglas’s extradition back to Ada County will be handled by the appropriate courts.
The case is being handled by the Twin Falls Prosecutors Office. Grand Lobes said he was asked to handle the case by Ada County because of conflict of interest.
